Englewood is a smaller, close-in suburb with a lot of post-war housing stock on tight lots, which means space is usually the constraint driving the remodel, whether that's a kitchen that needs to open into a dining room or a basement that needs to become a bedroom because there's nowhere to add on above grade.

We plan around the lot and the load-bearing walls first here more than almost anywhere else in the metro, because there's rarely room to simply build outward instead.
