A lot of the kitchens we're called into across the metro were built for a different way of cooking, back when a galley layout and a wall of upper cabinets was the standard. We requalify the layout first, then decide what stays: sometimes a wall comes out, sometimes it's cabinetry, counters, and lighting on the existing footprint doing all the work.
Denver's dry, low-humidity air is a real factor indoors, not just outside. Wood cabinetry and hardwood flooring both need proper acclimation before install and the right expansion gaps once they're in, or you get cracked seams and cupped boards a year later. We build that into the schedule rather than the punch list.
